In my last post I talked about the new year’s resolutions I set for myself last year, so today I’m here to talk about my goals for this year. Instead of setting myself huge, daunting tasks this time I’m going to keep it simple and set myself three resolutions that are more achievable. I promise this one won’t be as long as rambling as the last post, and maybe it’ll give some of you inspiration for your own goals! Whilst it’s not January 1st anymore, it’s never to late to start trying to make improvements in your life, and hopefully (with the help of these resolutions), this is something I try and do throughout the year.
Goal no. 1 – Learn how to cook! When I first moved to Uni I thought cooking would be a piece of cake. Turns out I was very wrong. 4 months later and all I can cook is cheesy pasta and quorn nuggets, and even I realise this isn’t the best diet. In 2018 I need to learn to cook, and I need to learn fast!
Goal no. 2 – Say yes more! I’m the Queen of overthinking which always stops me saying yes to all sorts of things, and then I look back to realise I should have just done it and had an amazing time! 2018 holds so many amazing opportunities, and instead of being happy to stay in my comfort zone I need to toughen up and live a more exciting life!
Goal no. 3 – Find the positives in every situation! I’ll be honest, as much as I like to pretend I’m not, at times I can be quite a negative person. This year I want to let go of any negativity and look for the positives instead, allowing myself to be happier and stop being such a Debbie downer.
Unlike last year, where I had 10 resolutions, these are the only goals I’m going to set for myself, and this time I’m determined to stick to them. I’m ready for a different outlook on life, it’s my last year of being a teenager and I’m going to make the most of it! Hopefully in next year’s reflection I’ll be able to look back and say I achieved all my goals, and if not at the very least I want to add another recipe to my repertoire that actually has at least a bit of flavour!
Until next time,
